The Hennessey Venom 1000 Twin Turbo Viper can hit 0-200 mph in 20.3 seconds in less than three quarters of a mile.
Twelve hundred horsepower. Less than 2700 pounds. “Do the math,” says Hennessey, “and the outcome is basically a car that’s thrilling and borderline scary to drive sometimes.” Here’s to being a little scared.
Plans for the Venom GT include test sessions at the Nürburgring in the summer of 2011, with Hennessey hoping to ultimately break the 7-minute barrier. Can the Venom GT do it?

If you ever wanted to experience flying a military fighter jet, the Venom GT offers a similar visceral thrill of speed and performance. It’s the quickest, fastest and most exciting vehicle that I have ever driven.”
