Clearly based on the 9-5 sedan, the Saab SportCombi shares the same engines, transmissions and snow-friendly XWD all-wheel-drive system as the sedan. The available engines include an E85-compatible turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four and a turbocharged 2.8-liter V-6.
And at the 2011 Geneva Auto Show, the automaker revealed the Saab PhoeniX Concept, a proposed replacement for the current 9-3 that plays up more heavily the aeronautic heritage of Saab. The new look is the handiwork of chief designer Jason Castroita, who recently left Ferrari for Saab.
