The A3 e-tron concept is Audi’s alternative for people who would like to consider a plug-in hybrid, but aren’t willing to put up with something that drives like a toaster.
The Audi A3 e-tron’s underpinnings are based off something very un-Prius-like—the Audi RS3, though it’s been heavily reworked inside and out to achieve the appropriate “tron look.”
Subaru XV Concept
Subaru has released scant details other than that it is powered by a 2.0-liter engine coupled to a CVT and the exterior dimensions are pretty close to that of the current Impreza Outback Sport. It has 19-inch wheels and a full length panorama roof.
Inside, gone is the playful instrument design, replaced with a more traditional styling theme. Optional for the first time in the VW Beetle is navigation, and a premium Fender audio system.
Just unveiled ahead of the 2011 New York Auto Show, the longer, wider and lower new Volkswagen Beetle is meant to “appeal to a broader audience worldwide.”
Audi will introduce the Q3 at the Shanghai Auto Show.
The 2012 Audi Q3 will initially be available with three 4-cylinder engines (one diesel and two gas-powered). All three engines have a 2.0-liter capacity and employ turbocharging and direct injection. Quattro all-wheel drive and a 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch gearbox will be offered.
The cargo capacity of the Q3 ranges from 16.2 to 48.2 cu. ft., depending on whether the rear seats are folded. The 3307-lb. Q3 has a 4-link rear suspension and electromechanical power steering.
Bold enough for you?
The Mercedes-Benz Concept A-Class is making its global debut during both the New York and Shanghai auto shows.
This sporty little two-door hatchback is tasked with pushing the German automaker’s previously staid-looking family vehicle into a bold new direction.
Poised to reign supreme once again - 2012 BMW M5 Concept
When the first-generation BMW M5 arrived in the U.S. in 1987, it essentially created a new class of high-performance sedan. The super sports sedan concept continued to evolve reaching the point where the last-generation M5 came with a Formula 1-inspired V-10 engine.
The fifth-generation BMW M5 will come with a twin-turbocharged V-8, expected to produce around 555 horsepower. And even with the extra output, the new engine will get better fuel economy than its predecessor, with emissions reduced by 25 percent.
