The super sports sedan concept continued to evolve reaching the point where the last-generation M5 came with a Formula 1-inspired V-10 engine.The fifth-generation BMW M5 will come with a twin-turbocharged V-8, expected to produce around 555 horsepower. And even with the extra output, the new engine will get better fuel economy than its predecessor, with emissions reduced by 25 percent.

Swiss tuner, Mansory has developed a 640 bhp BMW 760Li capable of hitting 60 mph in 4.2 seconds helped in no short measure by the 678 lb.-ft. of torque the fettled engine produces.
Exterior upgrades include LED daytime running lights, a new carbon  grille a roof spoiler and a rear apron designed to look like a diffuser.  The car now rides on one-piece 22×10 inch rims with 265/35 and 295/30  rubber wear front and rear, respectively.

A BMW spokesperson has now confirmed to Road & Track that the  M3 Pickup spotted in Germany is simply a one-off test mule. “BMW M did  indeed create the pickup seen on the ’Ring, but it was just an internal  project, not something that is in development,” explained Dave Buchko,  BMW Advanced Powertrain & Heritage Communications Manager. “There  are no plans to produce it.”

A BMW M3 pickup has been spotted doing hot laps at the world famous Nürburgring racetrack. Yes, this is the same V-8-powered BMW M3 that is renowned as one of the world’s hottest, sportiest and all-around lust-worthy German sports machines. And no, this isn’t an early April Fools joke—although we’re still kind of hoping it is.
