For $54,995 you can drive off in a Chevy Camaro ZL1 that will get to 60 mph in 3.9 sec (automatic) or 4.0 sec (manual). It will tear through the quarter-mile in as little as 12.0 to 12.1 sec at 119 mph. That would be on the way to a 180 to 184 mph top speed.

The 2012 Camaro ZL1 is powered by the supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 LSA engine used in the Cadillac CTS-V. Chevy is promising 550 plus horsepower from the engine, which is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
